Twenty-five Rochedale Probus Club members enjoyed a fascinating Backstage Discovery Tour of QPAC, guided by the knowledgeable and engaging Amanda and Brodie. The tour offered a rare glimpse into the inner workings of Brisbane’s premier performing arts venue. We began in the Lyric Theatre, currently home to Pretty Woman: The Musical, starring Samantha Jade. We also learned about QPAC’s other venues—the Concert Hall, Cremorne, Playhouse, and the upcoming Glasshouse, set to open in 2026. Our guides shared captivating insights into backstage operations, from stagecraft to production logistics, revealing just how much goes on behind the scenes to bring a performance to life. It was an informative and thoroughly enjoyable experience that deepened our appreciation for the arts and the people who make them happen.
