BACKGROUND

The first Probus Association in Queensland was formed in November 1992 under the banner of the Probus Association of Brisbane and Districts. However, at the first meeting of the Delegates on 23 April 1993, the name was changed to the Probus Association of Queensland Inc.

Since that time, PAQ has been administered by a Management Committee of elected volunteer Probians.

PAQ MISSION STATEMENT

“The Probus Association of Queensland exists to support, connect and strengthen affiliated Probus Clubs across Queensland while respecting each Club’s independence and local identity.

PAQ’s mission is to promote the Probus values of Fun, Friendship and Fellowship by encouraging retired and semi-retired people to remain socially active, engaged and connected within their communities. Through guidance via our Regional Liaison network, on-line meetings, club support and coordinated activities, PAQ helps Clubs to thrive and deliver meaningful experiences for their members.”
