Beachmere Probus Club
Beachmere Probus Club is the latest in a group of Probus Clubs being formed in the SE Queensland area
On Tuesday 9th September 2025 PAQ and PSPL formed the most recent Probus Club in Queensland. The meeting was held in the lovely Beachmere Community Hall and of the 39 people registering, 24 became Foundation Members of the new club, 8 of whom formed the Club's Management Committee. The next meeting will be held on 14th October and it is anticipated that more will join at this meeting as the good news spreads.
Queensland Director, Caroline Nelson, helped PAQ President Carwyn register everyone and hand out showbags. Carwyn processed all applications for membership and accepted payment. PAQ's Regional Liaison Officer, Allen Collishaw, and his wife organised the morning tea, and Allen did a great job at the end of the meeting promoting activities for Probus month in October.
Andrew Fife and Greg Hopper, representing Trade Travel - a Gold Travel Partner with Probus - arrived early and physically set up all tables and chairs, as they have done at all recent club formed by PAQ.
Federal MP, Terry Young, attended and gave a warm welcome address. The local State Member, Ariana Doolan, also addressed the meeting and has been invited to be Guest Speaker at Probus Clubs in her electorate.
