Visit to Amberley RAAF Heritage Centre.

Toowoomba had a very enjoyable and informative visit to the Amberley RAAF Heritage Centre which occupies 4 WWII Bellman hangars. Lots to see in the four sheds housing so many different pieces of military hardware from F111 Fighter jets to helicopters including:

  • Canberra Bomber A84-242
  • Caribou A4-236
  • F-111 A8-126
  • Sabre A94-962
  • Aircraft engines
  • F-111 Crew Module
  • World War II Jeep
  • Aircraft refuelling vehicles, and
  • A wide variety of armaments

Entrance is fairly restricted and a lot of paperwork was necessary from our Social Convenors to obtain the necessary police checks and entrance.
