Greenbank Probus Club

Our very latest Probus Club in SE Queensland is the Greenbank Probus Club. Formed on 21st August 2025 with 33 members, this new club will be meeting at the Greenbank Community Centre on the third Thursday of each month.

54 people attended the Foundation meeting, again, most having learned about the formation of this club from Facebook. The new club was sponsored by the Probus Association of Qld and information about Probus and the benefits of joining, along with Resolutions to form the new club, was conducted by PAQ President Carwyn Arnold.

Newly appointed Probus South Pacific Ltd (PSPL) Director Caroline Nelson, who represents all Queensland Probus Clubs, assisted with registering attendees and assisted in the formation. A number of members from Park Ridge Probus club also attended and offered support to the new club and the opportunity to join with their members on outings and activities.

Peter Richens was elected as President, Sue Nielsen as Secretary, Jennifer Jackman as Treasurer, Jim Baker as Newsletter Officer, Lee McDonald as Activities and Outings Officer, Doreen Collier for Membership and Johanna Woodage as Welfare Officer.

With a good Management Committee, this new club is off to a good start.
