On Wednesday, 8 July an interest meeting was held to lead to the formation of a new Probus Club in the Moreton Region, the Narangba Probus Club, and was held in the Narangba Community Hall. There were 60 people in attendance along with the Probus Association of Queensland President, Merv Richens, the PAQ Treasurer, Margaret Richens and PAQ Secretary, Mary Helbig. Morning Tea was provided for the attendees with thanks going to Heather Collishaw for the sandwiches, boiled fruit cake and biscuits.

Following the Probus Presentation and question time, a call for nominations for the Executive positions. Nominations were received from President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership, Welfare and two helpers.This was an amazing day with 40 new members with a possible 20 more who attended. The Narangba Probus Club was formed at the meeting and will be mentored by the Executive team from Burpengary Probus Club, Sue, Jenny, Caroline, and Elaine. The Burpengary Probus Club has sponsored the formation of the Narangba Probus and its support is much appreciated. The next Meeting will be held 12 August, at the Narangba Community Hall 229 Mackie Road Narangba.
