Everton Probus Club celebrates 20 years of Women as members.

Everton Probus is 40 years old, but membership for women was achieved only 20 years ago. Fay, Sandra, Margaret C, Lorna, Margaret S and Ness celebrated a milestone at our meeting today. These lovely ladies were among the first admitted, and today their husbands presented them with their 20 years badges. Cr Tracy Davis donated a lovely gift for each lady, as well as a card and certificate of congratulations. Tim Mander, our local State Member, donated a fabulous hamper for a lucky door prize. We welcomed Merv, Margaret, Mary and Barbara from Probus Assoc. of Qld (PAQ). They brought each of our special ladies a lovely scarf which is a special design celebrating 50 years of Probus in Australia. Garry and Gwen from neighbouring Probus clubs joined us, along with 4 visitors keen to join our ranks. We ended the meeting with an extended morning tea where the buzz of friendly conversation could be heard in all corners of the room.
