The following is Walking Data from Mt Ommaney Club for August - a total of 84.9 klms from 3 Walks on 1, 15 and 26 August.

The above photos from those 3 Walks - 1 August at Forest Lake, 15 August at Middle Park and 26 August through West End to the City and beyond. On 1 August, 6 Club members completed a circuit of the Lake at Forest Lake and surrounds. One Club member and 2 visitors took a shorter route that equated to half a circuit each. Total distance covered by the 9 Club members and visitors amounted to 22.5 klms, which will contribute to the Probus Virtual Walk from Coolangatta to top of the state. On Saturday 15 August, eleven Club members and visitors completed the 3.3 kilometre Walk from the Centenary Suburbs War Memorial Gardens at Mt Ommaney to the Metro Shopping Centre at Middle Park. There we were joined by another 8 Club members to take over the Middle Park Bakery for morning tea. We added another 36.3 kilometres to the Probus South Pacific Virtual Walk.

On Wednesday 26 August, 7 Club members and visitors took a bus to the High Street at Toowong, where we inspected the wall of photos of early Toowong. We continued on to Toowong Village for morning tea. After morning tea, we proceeded to the Regatta Ferry Terminal and took a City Cat to the West End Ferry Terminal. We then continued on the major part of our Walk through the streets of West End viewing renovated pre-war cottages and the major change in architecture of commercial and related buildings. This took us to Southbank Parklands and across the Neville Bonner Bridge to Star City Casino where we enjoyed lunch. We then concluded our walk to Queen Street Bus Station where we caught our bus home.

We contributed another 48.6 klms to the Probus South Pacific Virtual Walk. The kilometres walked are being coordinated by the PAQ for submission to the PSPL Virtual Walk.
