Mt Ommaney Probus Club celebrates Probus 50th Anniversary.

The Mt Ommaney Probus Club held a sumptuous morning tea, thanks to the efforts of our ladies, on Tuesday 3 February to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of the first Probus Club in Australia at Hunter’s Hill in Sydney. 70 Probus members were present at the Jindalee Bowls Club, including contingents from the Sherwood and Centenary Suburbs Clubs.

Our State member, Jess Pugh MP was on hand to address the assembly and to hand out lucky door hampers from herself, Milton Dick MP and Councillor Sarah Hutton. Jess also presented Certificates of Congratulations to representatives of the Clubs present on the 50th Anniversary of Probus in Australia. The Vice President of the Centenary Suburbs Club, was on hand to receive his Club’s Certificate. There was a trivia quiz and fun and games to amuse those present. The festivities continued throughout the morning with many extra lucky door prizes.
